Community Support Group

Support groups bring together people who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. 

Our community support group for unemployed and job-seekers provides an opportunity for people to share personal experiences and feelings, coping strategies and stories of success.

A support group among people with shared experiences may function as a bridge to finding the best relevant solution.

Participating in a group provides you with an opportunity to be with people who are likely to have a common purpose and likely to understand one another.

Benefits of participating in a support group may include:

  • Feeling less lonely, isolated or judged

  • Reducing distress, depression, anxiety or fatigue

  • Improving resilience and skills to cope with challenges

  • Staying motivated and gaining a sense of empowerment, control or hope.

 

Simulated Workplace Environment (SWE)

Simulated Workplace Environment aims to enhance participants’ interest of further education and workplace participation. It reflects real work experiences in their function, structure, mode of operation and social environment.

SWE is a great starting point for those who are serious about getting work experience and for those who are ready for a commitment.

SWE opportunity will be offered to those who has demonstrated work place participation readiness on our Employment Tutors' recommendation.
